This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage that AnalyticalMind.ai uses. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
Our Approach
We only use cookies and browser storage that are strictly necessary to provide the Service you ask for: keeping you signed in, protecting your account, completing payments and remembering choices you make in the app. We do not use analytics, advertising or social media tracking cookies. Because everything listed here is strictly necessary, UK law does not require a consent banner, and we do not show one. If we ever add optional cookies, we will ask for your consent first.
Cookies We Set
- session (8 hours): keeps you signed in and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. It holds your account identifiers and sign-in email address, and is signed so it cannot be altered.
- known_browser (400 days): a security cookie that recognises browsers you have signed in from before, so we can email you when your account signs in from a new one. It contains a random device identifier and scrambled (hashed) account markers, not your email address.
- manually_logged_out (1 hour): remembers that you just signed out so you are not signed straight back in.
- signup_course_id (1 hour): remembers the course you picked while you finish signing up.
Cookies Set by Our Providers
- Amazon Cognito (sign-in service at auth.analyticalmind.ai): short-lived cookies needed to complete sign-in, including sign-in with Google or Apple.
- Stripe (on the checkout page only): fraud-prevention cookies such as
__stripe_mid(1 year) and__stripe_sid(30 minutes). See the Stripe cookie policy.
Browser Storage
We also keep some data in your browser's local or session storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.
- Session storage (cleared when you close the tab or sign out): your current Cortex conversation, sign-in tokens from Amazon Cognito, and details you entered during sign-up.
- Local storage (kept until you clear it): display preferences such as notes view mode, Cortex background and sound settings, and whether you have dismissed the dashboard tour hint.
Content Loaded From Other Services
Your browser loads fonts, icons and standard libraries for maths and charts from Google Fonts, Cloudflare (cdnjs) and jsDelivr. Images and videos are loaded from our own content delivery network on AWS CloudFront. These services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser requests the files. They do not set cookies on our behalf.
Managing Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies listed above, you will not be able to sign in or pay for a subscription. Signing out clears the Service's session storage.
